Rental Properties at Georgetown of Ann Arbor

Georgetown of Ann Arbor Condominiums is a residential condominium community designed with the intention that the co-owners will be owner-occupants, however, there are rental units within the community that the unit owner lease out. The association bylaws contain several stipulations regarding rental status. The information below provides highlights from the bylaws. For additional details, please refer to the association bylaws (page 49, section C Maximum Number of Rentals Permitted; Minimum Term, Occupancy, Acknowledgement of Condominium Documents, etc.)

  • 20% rental cap for the community

  • Unit owners must apply and be approved to rent their unit

  • Unit owners must reside in their unit for a minimum of one year before requesting rental status

  • A minimum of a one-year lease is required for each rental unit

  • The current lease, with renter contact information, must be on file with the management company at all times to remain compliant

  • Violation of any of these bylaw regulations can result in legal action up to and including renter eviction and owner fines

As of 2022, Georgetown of Ann Arbor Condominiums has reached the rental capacity and is not approving new rental unit applications. There is currently a waitlist for existing unit owners to request rental approval. For new rental applications to be considered and approved, an existing rental unit must either sell to a new owner or become an owner-occupied unit.
